Submissions
The Nevada Law Journal invites the submission of unsolicited manuscripts regarding current legal issues of both local and national import from professionals and students attending the William S. Boyd School of Law. The Journal is currently not accepting submissions from student authors. Submissions are promptly reviewed by the Articles Editors, with a decision regarding publication within three to four weeks of submission. The 2011-2012 volume is full and the Journal will begin reviewing submissions for the 2012-2013 volume beginning March 1, 2012.
The Nevada Law Journal also invites the submission of book reviews written by legal scholars and librarians on a wide variety of books and subjects that may be of interest to the professional and academic legal communities. The Journal publishes at least three issues per year, in the Winter, Spring and Summer.
Electronic Submissions
To increase the efficiency of the review process, please submit manuscripts as an email attachment to Articles Editors at nevadalawjournal@gmail.com. Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format.
Paper Submissions
Electronic submissions are preferred, but paper submissions are also accepted. Please include your e-mail address with your submission, as decisions will be transmitted via e-mail. Please send manuscripts to:

Please be sure to specify the journal from which you have received an offer as well as the date and time the offer expires.
Withdrawing Submission
If you wish to withdraw your submission from review, please send an e-mail to Articles Editors at nevadalawjournal@gmail.com. Please include your name, the title of your submission, and the reason for withdrawal.
Subscriptions
The domestic subscription rate for the Nevada Law Journal is $30.00 per year. The foreign subscription rate is $35.00. Fourth class postage is paid at Las Vegas, Nevada, and additional mailing offices. Subscription requests may be sent to the Nevada Law Journal, at the mailing address listed above. Checks should be made payable to "Board of Regents." Subscriptions will be renewed automatically unless notice of cancellation is received. Change of address notices should include old and new addresses and zip codes.
If you would like to order any of our back issues, each is available for $15 or any three issues for $30, with $3.00 shipping and handling per issue. Please confirm that we still have the back issues you require with our Business Editor, William Habdas at BusinessEditor@nevadalawjournal.org.
Prospective Members
Law review membership is extended to those in the top of their class (at least the top 5%), and to those who are successful in the "Write-On Competition". The Write-On Competition is part of the application process to join the Law Journal, so all prospective members must participate in the Write-On Competition, including those students in the top 5%. The competition consists of writing a student note on one of two topics provided by the current law review leadership. The competition usually begins in June, and there is a two-week deadline. The Journal’s Editorial Board then reviews the submissions and extends membership offers to the authors of the better submissions.
More information will be presented by the Journal’s leadership in early April during a lunch forum on the subject.
