Abstract

Mary LaFrance analyzes Armstrong v. Eagle Rock Entertainment, which addressed the interrelationship of federal copyright law, the First Amendment, and federal and state law claims arising from the unauthorized commercial use of a person's name or likeness in connection with a copyrighted work. Although the district court’s perfunctory analysis has little persuasive value, it illuminates the gaps and inconsistencies in the area.
