Abstract
Tax Subsidies for Health Insurance: Premium Tax Credit. Most people are required by law to have qualified health insurance coverage, and as such, the government will charge a penalty if you do not have coverage. Although penalty is repealed as of 2019, people should still sign up for health care coverage because in many cases, they will get help paying their monthly premiums through the Premium Tax Credit, which was not repealed.
